An integrated alarm, control and monitoring system brings together on a single console what would otherwise be ten panels scattered around the vessel: the electrical network, the tanks, the auxiliary machinery, the HVAC, fire detection and accommodation control. We work on open PLC-based architecture, with class-approved equipment and system design, and with redundancy across workstation, controller, power supply and network.

The power management system (PMS) is responsible for controlling the vessel’s electrical system. Its purpose is to keep the power plant safe and efficient: it distributes load at the optimum point for each generator, symmetrically or asymmetrically, and disconnects them when required. It covers start and stop on demand, advanced blackout management, priority selection, heavy consumers, non-essential load shedding and continuity of supply during transfers between shaft generators, shore connection and auxiliary generators.

The main advantages are maximising blackout prevention and reducing costs by minimising fuel consumption and equipment failure through sound maintenance. The controllers can be adjusted and serviced anywhere in the world, and not only by us.
