Maintenance and testing
What gets measured is what can be guaranteed

An electrical installation is not delivered when it is built, but when it has been tested. We test in the workshop before the equipment ships (FAT) and on board once it is installed (HAT), and we hand over the report with the measured values. That report is the document the classification society asks for, and the reference point years later.
We measure with our own instruments: FLIR thermal imaging to find hot spots in switchboards and connections before they fail, insulation resistance testing, network analysis, and power plant testing with a load bank to check how the generators actually behave under demand.
We approach maintenance on three levels: preventive to a plan, predictive based on what the measurements say, and corrective when something fails. All three rest on the same measurement history, which is why that first report matters more than it looks.
