Description
Insteimed carried out the refit of the main switchboard (MSB) and the DC distribution system of the MY Modus, a 40-metre motor yacht, in Palma de Mallorca.
The scope included the disassembly and removal of the old MSB, and the installation of a new switchboard with a Deif PPM300 power management system (PMS) and a 15” HMI. The new MSB was designed to be removable in four parts to allow access to the engine room.
The engine room’s ventilation drives were also changed, and a new 24VDC distribution system was designed, with battery charge/discharge control using Mastervolt equipment. The new MSB was reconnected to the existing alarm monitoring system (AMS), with remote access for maintenance.
The project closed with FAT and HAT testing (with load bank), witnessed by RINA, in 2024.
