Description
Insteimed carried out the turnkey electrical refit for the LNG (liquefied natural gas) conversion of the Abel Matutes ferry, operated by Baleària: basic engineering, fabrication of switchboards and control panels, installation, cable runs and commissioning.
The scope included constructive electrical diagrams, switchboards and motor starters, the design of the emergency shutdown (ESD) safety conditions, electric load analysis, ventilation and fire damper control, fire and gas detection drawings, hazardous area electrical classification, intrinsically safe system diagrams, shore link design, inertisation diagrams, and wiring and connection diagrams for systems and equipment. The project was carried out in Valencia in 2019.
